Romulus was always quiet, as he is now. He is obedient and loyal, these aspects were drilled into him when he was in the real world. He was spiritually aware then, and tried to combat hollows even then. Though eventually he was killed by one. He received a noble funeral, being of noble birth. When he arrived at the soul society, he was immediately recognized to have high spiritual pressure, and was enrolled into the academy son after his death. In the academy, he excelled at swordplay and kido. He graduated after one year. He was set up in squad six, and became 3rd seat within the first week. Even then he had aspiration to become a captain. He achieved Bankai in secret, taking him 4 months to obtain and another two years to master. He has a complete trust with his zanpakuto. After proving himself in battle against arrancar, he became vice-captain of the 1st squad. Later becoming captain. He is an active captain, often leaving his position to fight in the real world. He spends his spare time sparring and teaching his subordinates or meditating with the physical manifestation of his zanpakuto. He has been rumored to be the founder of Rome, but there is no strong evidence to support this, and he denies it himself. He maintains close relationships with the other captains.
